Ehrlich Brothers, Flood in Germany - UPDATE
It's been a while since I wrote an Update and here it is now, should anyone still be interested in me and my stuff. The situation with our Flood is still tense. I and my sister went to the hot spot not too far away from where we live to check how everything looks like. Well and this is how the area looked like one week ago: And here is a photo which I have taken yesterday: It still looks wild and I think it will take some time until the water will disappear fully. Fortunately it's getting super cold here and that means: No more rain for the next days or even weeks. As much as we needed rain in all those years, but what happened in the end of 2023 was absolutely CRAZY! As long as I live, I have never experienced such a heavy flood here. Our stupid politicians don't do anything to help the people. They spend all their money in other countries all over the world, except their own. Our farmers are out on the streets since yesterday and they have my deepest respect for standing up
Heavy Floods in Northern Germany
Oh man, as long as I live, I have never experienced such a heavy flood here in my area. I mean, it is kind of normal that we get a flood every few years, because of the metlwater we get from the Harz and then two or three streets are closed in my area, but this year is just CRAZY! It rains and rains and rains and it just won't stop raining! And this is the result: I have taken this video today in the morning. We have this tiny creek right behind our house. Only a small meadow is between said creek and our house and normaly this creek doesn't have any water at all. Only here and there when we have a bit more rain than usual in spring. But this year? This year this small creek turned into a river! A few days ago, it was already filled to its maximum and it was only a matter of time before it would flood our area and it happened for the first time on german christmas day (December 24). When we woke up, half of our meadow was under water and I had to get into the water to rescue my
My trip to the baltic sea coast of Germany
Wow, it's been a while since my last journal, isn't it? I don't even know if anyone is still around here who will read this, but I'll write it down anyways, because I just have to share my experience with my latest trip with you guys. So I, my Sister and my dad have been traveling to the baltic sea coast of eastern Germany this week. My dad has already been there many, many years ago together my mom. When she was still alive, she and my dad were traveling a lot through Germany and they have been many times to the baltic sea coast. Me and my sister have been very sceptical, because we both are north sea fans, especially from "Ostfriesland", which is a wonderful place to be. Not only because of the landscapes and animals, but also because of the people there, who are all very kind and funny. But our dad wanted to show us the baltic sea coast and so we decided to give it a try. We traveled there on monday (october 30) and came back yesterday. Sadly I can say this right away: North
Update of mine October 2022
It's been a while since I shared an Update of mine, but yeah, I am still alive. I am not well, but alive. My grief is getting worse and worse with every new days. I miss my mom so, so much and I am sick of people telling me that this will get better. For you, maybe, but not for me and neither for my dad, nor my sister. We suffer every day, even if we don't show that. I mean, in the end nobody gives a shit about how we feel. Only ONE positive thing happened to me last month and that might sound silly to you, but it was a huge wish of mine for many years that finally came true last month. That wish was: I wanted to watch my most favorite movie trilogy on this planet again in cinema: The Lord of the Rings and last month it finally happened. I found out by sheer coincidence that my premium cinema is showing this trilogy again after all these years. And even I got cards for all three movies. I was surprised, shocked even, to see that every screening was sold out within a few days and that
